Dear Parents/Carers
Welcome to Etonbury Middle School.
This prospectus sets out what parents can expect Etonbury to deliver and our commitment constantly to improve.
Etonbury is a 9-13 County Middle School serving the local communities of Arlesey, Astwick, Stotfold, Fairfield Park and surrounding areas.
We are part of the Central Bedfordshire 3-Tier System, to which we are firmly committed. We work closely with our local family of contributory Lower schools and parallel Middle schools in the Samuel Whitbread Community College pyramid, to ensure “continuity and progression” and maximum individual achievement for all children.
Governors have voted to change the designation of Etonbury to a Foundation School and to seek TRUST status. We are looking forward to becoming active members of our local Trust – BEST (Bedfordshire East Schools Trust) and working with our partner schools, other educational establishments, and community and business organisations for the benefit of all our pupils, parents and staff. Trust schools are seen as one of the ways of engaging more with parents and local communities, building long-term relationships with partner organisations, and creating better opportunities for our young people.
Fundamentally, we are committed to working closely with our parents, in equal partnership, in our programme of caring for children, with the aim of constantly improving the quality of the all round educational experience we deliver to each pupil.
Etonbury is an open, honest and forward looking school community, and the effectiveness of our partnership is shown by our past and recent achievements.
We work together to provide a caring community that strives for excellence.
