NOVEMBER 2009

Dear Parents/Carers,

Following our AGM, we are pleased to inform you of our new officers and committee members for this year.

School Representative:  Cat Johnson, Linda Bircher

We are admittedly a small committee, but with the help and support of our parents and the local community we are able to raise funds for our children and support Etonbury Middle School.

By participating in local events and activities, we have raised the school’s profile and made many new friends. The Association are committed to supporting Etonbury Middle School and most importantly, our children.

FOX & DUCK MUSIC FESTIVAL

Thank you to those who had a little fun and supported us with the Wine Lucky Dip event.  It was a glorious day, enabling us to raise £53 for the school and enjoy some great music.

AUTUMN PLANT SALE

Our Autumn Plant Sale was also well supported.  We raised £56 for the school, a little less than last years’ total, but very much appreciated.  CD Bell kindly donated some plants for the Etonbury Gardening Club.

ETONBURY ASSOCIATION

Please find attached tickets for this years Christmas Grand Draw raffle.  We have some great prizes for you to win,  so please help support Etonbury School.  The Draw will be made at the Christmas Market, as detailed below. Please return any unsold tickets to the school office.

CHRISTMAS MARKET

FRIDAY 11^TH DECEMBER 2009

The  Christmas market is just a few weeks away and we are looking for some luxury items for our Christmas hampers and this years Grand Draw raffle.  Luxury food items, alcohol and any unwanted gifts will be greatly appreciated.  If you have any items that may be suitable, please drop them off at the school office for us to collect.

The Association will also be running the ever popular chocolate fountain.  This is a big hit with the children and provides great fun for all.  The children and staff will be organizing lots of activities and stalls, so please come along and support the school.

SHOPPING ON LINE

For those of you who like to shop on-line, why not visit www.easyfundraising.org.uk

It’s the ideal time for a bit of Christmas shopping and helps support the school.

When using for the first time you need to register and select Etonbury Middle School from the drop down list.  You will need to enter an e:mail address and password.  The site guides you through the procedure.

A vast range of stores participate, including: Amazon, Boots, Comet, Direct Line, Debenhams, Dell,  Halfords, Harrods, HMV, Tesco (non food), Toys R Us and many more.  It’s simple and offers services such as insurance and holidays.

If you enjoy the experience, why not tell your friends and family so they can help support Etonbury too.
